  • John Lofgren Bootmaker's El Capitan boots are a tribute to Yosemite National Park's world renowned 3,000-foot granite formation. Designed to withstand rugged terrain and offer lifelong wear, these boots are derived from combat and logging boot styles. This iteration is cut from Horween's Waxed Flesh, a Chromexcel leather that has been heavily waxed on its reverse side for a smooth and weather resistant finish. Over time, scuffs and scratches break the waxed surface revealing a textured, suede-like nap with wear. The El Capitan is fitted with Vibram 430 outsoles anchored using a resoleable 270-degree Goodyear storm welt.
    • Built on the John Lofgren 210 last (D-width)
    • Horween waxed flesh uppers
    • Heavy single and double-stitched sewing
    • Japanese steel shanks
    • Embossed padded leather heel pad
    • 1.5" stacked heel
    • 5.5" shaft
    • USA made Vibram 430 sole and heels
    • Resoleable Goodyear welt
    • Canvas dust bag
    • Handcrafted in Japan
    • Lot No. LK-040
  • The John Lofgren 210 Last has a standard, rounded toe box with an accommodating D width. We recommend taking a half size (0.5) smaller than your Brannock size. Please email us at sales@blueowl.mom for an individual recommendation.
