Made in partnership with textile studios in Tokushima, Japan, ONI uses hand-operated antique looms to create the fabric’s extra-heavy slub texture; a time and labor-intensive process giving the denim a uniquely human touch. The warp yarns are bundled and hand-dyed with natural kakishibu tannins, giving the denim a broad tonal spectrum ranging from red-amber to rust-brown.
